Learning about the Needs of Autistic People Related to Breast Cancer Screening and Testing

About the Survey

The nonprofit organization, Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE) is working with the Autistic Self Advocacy Network (ASAN) to learn about people’s needs for information, support and services related to breast health, breast cancer risk and screening. The information will be collected through an online survey.

What the Survey Involves

There are two parts to this survey. 

• Part 1 is a short questionnaire that should take you about 5 minutes to complete. Your answers will help us determine if you are eligible to complete Part 2 of our survey.
• Part 2: Part 2 is a longer survey to share your experiences and needs related to breast health, breast cancer risk and screening. FORCE will provide a $30 gift card for up to 40 people who qualify for Part 2 of our survey and complete it.

The link below will take you to Part 1 of the survey. People who are eligible to take Part 2 of the survey will receive an email link to complete it. People who complete Part 2 of the survey will receive a $30 gift card.

You may be eligible for the survey if you are an adult who is autistic and you have breasts. We are very interested in hearing from people who have experienced any of the following:

• you have had a conversation with a healthcare professional about breast screening.
• you have had screening for breast cancer. 
• you have been told you may be at high risk for breast cancer. 
• you have had genetic testing for a mutation linked to breast cancer.
• you have a relative who has tested positive for a mutation linked to breast cancer. 
• you have been diagnosed with breast cancer.  

People under the age of 18 may not participate.
