UPLIFT: Cancer Caregivers Study
About the Study
Caring for someone with cancer can be challenging both mentally and financially. LGBTQ+ cancer caregivers may experience additional challenges while caregiving, however little research has explored the caregiving experience among this population. Therefore, we are conducting a study to understand the impact of caregiving on the mental, physical, and financial well-being of LGBTQ+ people providing unpaid care to a family or friend with cancer.
What the Study Involves
The UPLIFT study is a survey-based study conducted by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh. The survey should take between 20-30 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would like to be re-contacted for a follow-up interview about your experiences as a caregiver. Participants who take part in the survey will be compensated $10, participants who take part in the interview will receive an additional $20.
