Caregivers of cancer patients often put themselves last. But research shows when caregivers get their needs met, patients feel better too. We want to know what experiences LGBTQIA+ caregivers to adult cancer patients have, and what interventions or services could fill their needs and support their health.

This Study is Open To:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Unpaid caregiver of a cancer patient
  • Identify as a sexual/gender minority

This Study is NOT Open To:

Caregivers who are also currently in cancer treatment themselves will not be eligible for participation.

Overview: Eligible participants will be asked to engage in a single 2-hour virtual research session. During the session, they will complete some surveys and a 1:1 interview, in which they’ll discuss their experience as a cancer caregiver.

Steps:

  1. Fill out study screener: https://gsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_419rfX1CYEsftMG
  2. If eligible, you will receive an email with study information and resources to review. If not eligible, you’ll just receive the resources.
  3. Reply to ask questions and book a 2-hour study session.
  4. Receive a meeting invite via Microsoft Teams and join at your scheduled time.
  5. After completing the study, you’ll receive a thank you email with additional resources.
