Screening

FORCE does not provide financial assistance. However, we are happy to share these resources. Contact the following organizations to learn about your eligibility. 

General Cancer 

• Federally qualified health centers (“Community Health Centers”) are a resource for anyone who needs financial assistance with their health and preventive care. 
• Hill-Burton facilities provide free or reduced-cost health services not covered by a government program such as Medicare or Medicaid to those with limited income.
• Medicare Rights Center is a national nonprofit organization that works to ensure access to affordable health care for people with Medicare.
• Patient Advocate Foundation provides case managers who help identify financial assistance programs and resources.
• Planned Parenthood provides a variety of services including breast exams, pelvic exams, cancer screenings and more, whether or not you have insurance.
• Many state and local health departments provide free or low-cost cancer screenings to residents with limited income. 

Breast Cancer 

• American Breast Cancer Foundations' Breast Cancer Assistance Program provides aid for breast cancer screenings and diagnostic tests for uninsured and underserved individuals, regardless of age or gender.
• National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) provides low-income, uninsured and underinsured women with access to breast screenings (including MRIs for high-risk women in some states) and diagnostic services. 

Colon Cancer 

• ColonoscopyAssist provides cash stipends paid towards the cost of colonoscopy, free bowel preparation medicine and an interest-free payment plan for patients facing financial hardship.
• Colorectal Cancer Alliance Screening Support Program provides screening resources and financial assistance. Call their Helpline at (877) 422-2030 to be referred to a service. 

• Cottonelle® and BLKHLTH® -sponsored Screening Assistance Fund provides a dedicated screening fund for eligible Black individuals in need.
